The Nebraska Bar in conjunction with Basha Systems is re-designing their Probate System product. Due for release mid 2006, Probate System V will likely forever raise the bar on what is required from distributed form sets and published content.
A large law firm required production of highly complex legal documents in their Finance section. Ok, lets run with that.
In a slight change of pace, a large human resources agency contacted us regarding their workflow and work product. They had identified voluminous documentation in varied formats that were part of their everyday work. They retained us to provide a single document production factory, with ability to output single or packaged documents, in .doc, .rtf or .pdf format.
A law firm with a large lending client contacted us with a view to becoming more profitable. Their major client was billed on a value-based model, and top end production of documents was paramount.
GhostFill is licensed in two forms: GhostFill End User and GhostFill Developer. The End User interface is a locked-down runtime that can be branded and customized to user needs.
Templates are organized into applications. Each application can have its own Logo, Backdrop and other properties.
In addition to branding, you can designed a "file"or a "matter and use that data source to create a full range of templates.
You can configure GhostFill to assemble a set of document, or select individual documents for assembly.
With a single click (depending on licensing) you can switch to GhostFill Developer. This application level control panel gives you access to your Templates, your Documents, and your Data, as well as the numerous plugins used for developing a document assembly application
Your templates can be organized into folders, and subfolders for easy navigation and selection.
From each folder, you can access RTF, HTML, DOT, PDF/FDF and Text templates. You can also launch scripts.
You can use GFL (GhostFill Link files) to launch templates located in a different part of the application or in an entirely different application. A GFL can also be launched directly from Windows Explorer which associates the GFL file type with the GhostFill assembler.
GhostFill uses its own markup language. The markup uses object-oriented programming principals (very similar to VBA) which gives GhostFill exceptional power.
To connect to a database data source To connect to a database data source in GhostFill is as simple as defining a database object in the Application and then invoking it in the template.
To connect to Outlook, one merely define the link with a simple Outlook.SelectFolder command and then any information about the selected contact will come directly into the document.
To connect to a PDF file, GhostFill address the FDF data in the fillable fields on the form and assembles the data directly into the PDF file.
The GhostFill Data tab gives the developer access to all the objects in the application in a quick tree-like view.
The data tab gives complete access to a built-in clause manager. Organize clauses into folders. You can bring in any of these clauses into a document, and even run a full assembly.
The clause picker can be launched independent of a GhostFill assembly, directly from within Word.
Once you click on the document, it brings in the clause and launches an assembly session for any unresolved variables.
GhostFill comes with an exceedingly powerful and easy to use dialog builder tool. All aspects of the dialog object are customizable.
Working with the editor is visual. You can layout your fields and change their properties directly or via scripting.
Each field has its own properties editor.
The dialog itself has its own property editor
Each fields on the dialog can be addressed scripted with triggering events on change, enter and exit, and for the dialog, in addition on load, save, unload, clear and initialization.
